NZ Immigration laws are far too laid back. The benchmark for English language ability is low. The benchmark for skills is low. There is no pressure on immigrants to integrate, hence you have parallel economies and societies within NZ with groups like the Chinese and Indians. No houses for young Kiwis starting out. No medical care for Kiwis because the immigrants flood the health system - free healthcare should be reserved for citizens. Diversity is our strength? Give me a break! Small-scale, targeted immigration is good, what we are experiencing is full-on societal and cultural revolution. It's not in the best interests of Kiwis and we are doing a great injustice to our children by allowing this to continue.

We really need skilled people. Some business's are struggling to get good tradesmen. Having connections to engineering I here 1st hand the hopelessness of some of the people that turn up. Also hereing that some of the imported drivers are not the best of operators. When you stuff your country and economy you drive away good skilled people. Loosing those skilled people means they will not be passing on the good skills & techniques that have taken years to learn. Not to mention the medical profression etc ec. NZ can be a good place, it is going to be a tough battle back to the top. Our country has been badly damaged by incompetent governence. The whole world is suffering from rotten leadership.
